Parkman Church and St. Pauly Textiles Form Partnership

Parkman Congregational Church has partnered with St. Pauly Textile to collect clothing that will be distributed to those in need.

St. Pauly is a Western NY based, family owned company and a member of the Better Business Bureau. Their goal is to get USEABLE clothing to people who can use it, here in the U.S. and in developing countries. St. Pauly is the largest clothing collection organization in the region.

What to Donate:

Used Clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, linens, pillowcases, blankets, curtains, and stuffed animals.

What Not to Donate:

Furniture, electronics, household items, books, toys, garbage, pillows, rags, and fabric scraps.

For over 80 years, Cub Scouts have been having the time of their lives making new friends and learning new things in an environment designed to help them succeed. From building his own pinewood derby® car to learning how to roast the perfect marshmallow with his best friends at a family campout, your child will LOVE being a Cub Scout. So if he’s in grades first through fifth, or 6 to 12 years old, then it’s time for him to have some fun … with the Cub Scouts.

Holsinger Family

Brian and Eva Holsinger (and family) will be visiting with us on Sunday, August 23rd. Brian and Eva will be sharing about the medical work they do in Asia during Sunday School and our Sunday Morning Service. Tell your friends and mark your calendars. We’ll see you there.

August Free Movie

For this month’s family movie out, we’ll be showing Remember the Titans. Join us at 6:30 as we get ready for Friday Night, High School Football with this classic movie.

Drake Williams, Missionary to the Netherlands

This Sunday, August 2nd, Dr. H. H. Drake Williams III, the CCCC’s missionary serving in the Netherlands, will join us at Parkman Congregational Church to share about his ministry.

A potluck dinner will begin at 6pm followed by Praise & Worship at 7pm before Dr. Williams shares with us. Everyone is welcome to attend and encouraged to bring a friend.

Annual Outdoor Worship

Mark your calendars and join us at Overlook Park (State Route 168 – on top of the hill) on Sunday, July 26th. Our worship service will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by a potluck picnic and fun and games. The burgers, hot dogs, beverages and paper products will be provided – Please bring a dish or two to share and plan to stay all afternoon.

Also, remember that no one will be at our church building and Sunday School is canceled on the Sunday of our Outdoor Worship.

Trash and Treasure Sale

It’s time for our Annual Trash & Treasure Sale. This sale, sponsored by Women’s Fellowship, will take place Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25.

We have some unique pricing during the sale

  • On Friday, all items are full price.
  • Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until noon all items are half price
  • Saturday from 12:30 until 3:00 p.m., closing time, all remaining items are free.

We will also have goodies and coffee in the a.m. and those famous chili dogs and sodas for lunch.
